An expert on Sociology

Hello everyone, today I will talk about an expert on the career that I study: Pierre Bourdieu.
Pierre Bourdieu is a French sociologist, born in August 1st, 1930 on Denguin.
He was from a poor family who lived in the rural site of France.  Despite his economic difficulties, he went to the university, to study Sociology at the Higher Normal School of Paris.
The most important intellectual contribution of Bourdieu is the Theory of Habitus. In general words, this theory treat to explain why there are regularities in the social environment, something like the identity of a community or a population. For example, why poor people act in a different way than rich people? The social classes are very important in his theory because of his provenance and that’s why I like it very much.
I’m from a poor family too, and in this university I can see the other side of the coin, the richest ones. It’s interesting because I notice differences in behavior, aspirations, dreams, frustrations, etc. and how they agree with the class.
In addition, those who come from families more affluent than mine have more facilities (not economic), which Bourdieu theorizes as social capital and cultural capital. That is, they come with acquired knowledge from before only because they belong to certain sectors of the population.
